Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer, songwriter and bluegrass musician. Born on July 23, 1971. She started working in the business of music in the early years of her life. At the age 10 years old, she took part in local contests and recorded her debut album. She signed with Rounder Records in 1985 and recorded her first single album, a solo one in the year 1987. The year 1989 saw her invited to join Alison Krauss & Union Station together with whom she performed.
